Hello Reader,
ALL ABOARD, for this week's newsletter!
Phase VII Comes to Amtrak Cars
Amtrak has unveiled its first passenger car in the new Phase VII paint scheme, with the Iroquois River as the inaugural car.
This updated design features Amtrak’s signature blue and silver tones, creating a unified and modern fleet appearance. If you are wondering whether you have seen Phase VII, you may have, for it is on most of the new Siemens and refurbished GE locomotives.
The scheme introduces accent colors for service classes to improve platform navigation: red for the first class, light blue for the business class, and green for the coach class.
The Phase VII livery will eventually be applied to all Horizon, Amfleet, and Superliner passenger cars, excluding specialized designs like those on Acela trains.

November 2024 Long-Distance On-Time Performance Times are In
There are now three trains with an 80% plus on-time rating for November: the Crescent, the City of New Orleans, and the Capitol Limited, now the Floridian.
There were some improvements with some trains; some had better on-time performance, some had fewer delays, and some had both.

The holidays are coming up fast! The older I get, the faster time seems to go.
A few things happened this week; sadly, none involved travel. The closest I came to traveling was watching the Borealis pull out of the Milwaukee Intermodal Station.
I spent a lot of time editing and updating the website.
In addition, I helped move an organ again to help a friend out. It is a rental Allen organ, and it is not hard work, but it is not light work.
