Hello Reader,
Welcome back to another digest of travel info; this one is shorter than last week.
While on my last trip, I published a new article about tracking Amtrak trains, listing all the third-party sites I know and more. If I missed one, please let me know.
I am also considering expanding from just Amtrak to covering VIA trains; what do you think? If you don't know, VIA is the Canadian "Amtrak." Would you be interested in Canadian rail travel?
BREAKING AMTRAK NEWS
I had this email ready and scheduled to go out, but while taking a walk, I learned that the long-awaited Amtrak Borealis will start operating on May 21 in the Midwest. So here is a last-minute update.
The Amtrak Borealis will run between Chicago and Minnesota's Twin Cities. It will replace one of the North and Southbound Hiawatha trains, 333 and 340. Between the two endpoints, the Borealis will stop at all the same stops as the Hiawatha and the Empire Builder.
For now, the train numbers are 1333 and 1340.
The train will offer a coach, business classes, and a café car. Currently, no Quiet Car is listed, but that could change. I'm excited about this train and can't wait to ride it soon!
Tracking Amtrak trains
Do you know you can easily track your Amtrak train through the Amtrak app or other ways?
Signing up for Amtrak's alert emails or texts is a simple way to track your train's location before departure.
Amtrak's website, app, and third-party websites provide ways to monitor your train before or during your journey.

A quick Kev update!
The Canada trip went well; I was happy to finally use my passport! After two years of having it, I finally got to use it for something other than domestic flights,
It was nice to get away, and the train went smoothly; my only issues were due to my mistakes.
